Carapau Rental Studio started the gear rental business over a decade ago but the experience in the field is more than 20 years with the first steps of a company fully dedicated to photoshoots, based in the sunny Algarve.

More than 10 years fully dedicated to the rental services of photo equipment and also, in several occasions, being the important support providing local photo assistants or digi tech assistant complementing international teams that have selected Portugal to run their photoshoots either commercial as editorial.

Major brands in fashion and other industries as well renowned international magazines, have chosen our country for their projects and Carapau as the main partner in photo equipment and assistants provider.

At Carapau we always like to go beyond the mail with a list requirement. Several times the direct contact with first assistants or even the photographer itself as shown how important it can be to know the goals or the aesthetics looks demanded. We embrace these outside projects as our own in a shared responsibility of developing the best efforts to guarantee the solutions available even on tight budgets (sometimes).
